  2. Rance barrier near Saint-Malo, France –> usine marémotrice de la Rance. It’s the first prototype of a power plant where electricity is directly generated from tidal moves, in an area where tidal power is particularly strong.

  6. Rance Tidal Power Station, in Brittany, France, near Saint-Malo.

    This one was pretty challenging! (Good one!)

    Some things that (seemed) to be clues were the indications of north-flowing water (safety lines across the water, and what looked like some sort of rapids above the structure).
    A modern infrastructure (multi-lane highway, and the structure itself).
    With so many boats, it seemed that it should be close to the ocean.
    What appeared to be a nice climate.

    Still it took me awhile to get it.

    If the picture had been taken when the tide was coming IN, I probably wouldn’t have found it.
