Villa Adriana is one of the highlights of Roman buildings you still can visit today.
It is created by the Roman Emperor Hadrian and on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

For Gary Arndt (the founder of this site) visiting this site was a milestone: it was the 250th UNESCO site he visited.

A milestone for Gary

Metéora (‘Suspended in the air’ in Greek) is a complex of several Eastern Orthodox monasteries built in the 15th century on top of sandstone rock pillars.

They are on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1988.
In the early days access was very difficult and only possible by the use of ropes and lashed together ladders,

A beautiful private island, formerly owned by French Lawyer Olivier Metzner, is now for sale with an asking price of EUR. 10,000,000.-

Olivier Metzner is a renowned lawyer who defended rogue trader Jérôme Kiervel, Panama dictator Manuel Noriega and former French prime minister Dominique de Villepin.
Het was found dead in the sea surrounding his private island.
