Pronounced as “Mack-in-aw” Island, this popular tourist spot is located at the Top of the Mitt (tip of Michigan). They don’t allow motorized cars on the Island, but you can fly your plane in, or take a boat over. The island is also home to it’s very own statue of liberty. The island has many historic homes, but one of the more famous buildings is the Grand Hotel. This was also a primary filming location for the 1980 cult classic “Somewhere in Time“, starring Christopher Reeve & Jane Seymour.
Only two answers passed the test of time, well done guys!
